Clinical psychologist, with a professional path built across clinical practice, research, psycho-oncology, university teaching and public engagement with science.

Clinical experience

After graduating in Psychology with a Clinical and Community focus at the Sapienza University of Rome and qualifying to practise, she built her experience in healthcare at IDI – Istituto Dermopatico dell'Immacolata, IRCCS.

Alongside her clinical work she has taken part in research projects, looking in particular at the psychological and psychosocial aspects of illness.

Work in psycho-oncology

She completed specialist training in psycho-oncology at the Regina Elena Institute in Rome.

Over the years she has run activities for people going through cancer treatment, including stress management sessions and Autogenic Training.

As part of Pink October she led a session on Stress Management and Autogenic Training organised by the Breast Unit of Policlinico Umberto I.

She has also delivered a Therapeutic Education programme for people with post-cancer lymphoedema, in collaboration with the Foundation for Personalised Medicine and hosted at IDI.

University teaching

She has taught at the University of Rome Tor Vergata.

Over the years she has taught General Psychology and, more recently, History of Medicine within the degree course in Nursing.

Scientific collaborations and public engagement

AISCUP – Rome ETS

Over the years she has contributed to the association's work, taking part in initiatives devoted to oncology and to public engagement, and publishing pieces on health and the mind-body relationship, among them Autogenic Training and the recovery of psycho-physical energy.

LILT – Italian League for the Fight Against Cancer

She contributed to a prevention project for secondary school students on the subject of addiction.

Foundation for Personalised Medicine

She has contributed to work on personalising health pathways, including the Therapeutic Education project for post-cancer lymphoedema.
